Transferring your domain to Mythic Beasts

This page give details of the changes you will need to make to your domain registration details in order to host your domain with Mythic Beasts Ltd. Before making any changes you should contact us at support@mythic-beasts.com so that we can make the necessary arrangements for hosting your domain.

Domain registration

It is not necessary to register your domain with Mythic Beasts in order to use our hosting services. If you choose to use a third party registrar, we recommend that you set the domain name servers (DNS) for your domain to be our name servers.

Please note that if you have a domain that was formerly registered with Black Cat Networks, your domain will now be registered with Mythic Beasts, and you can manage it using our customer control panel.

Registering a new domain

If you are an existing Mythic Beasts customer, you can register new domains using our customer control panel. If you do not have any hosting services with us and wish to register a domain, please email support.

Transferring an existing domain

If you already have a domain registered with another registrar, you can either transfer the registration to Mythic Beasts (please contact support to do this), or you can keep the domain with your current registrar and change the nameservers.

Nameservers

If you are using a third party domain registrar, you should set the nameservers for your domain to be our name servers. Unless we advise you otherwise, you should use:

In order to achieve a smooth transfer, it is important to inform us when you are about to change the name servers for an existing domain. This is because we must ensure that mail and web hosting is configured for your domain on our servers before the new domain name servers are known to the internet at large, so that no mail will bounce and web service is maintained. Please get in touch if you are unsure about this.
